Or would it be worthwhile doing a Masters in Finance instead. Or perhaps a Masters in Law.

So I’ve wanted to be an accounting forever! In about 4 months I will be finally be a freshman in college and my desire is to major in accounting. However someone has brought to me that accountants may not be in demand much longer because its being replaced by technology. So I asked the question to people in this field or may know anything about it. Judging the way things are going right now do you think this is true even if I obtain my cpa license?

My company is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. And we are looking to expand to somewhere in America and I have been put in charge of researching all the details. One thing I cant find is approximately how much would it cost to pay an accountant in the USA to do all the companies accounts over there? Any rough estimate would be appreciated!

What kind of things would you find in an ideal accountant office? what kind of equipment, programs, boards. A fax machine? A copier? If the type of accountant has to be specific then an internal auditor.

Why and how the heck do some employers take so long after a pay period to disburse paychecks?
Filed Under Other - Business & Finance | 1 Comment
pa4vt asked:
I know most employers I worked for in the past pay out the Friday after a pay period. The state university I once worked at took as long as the 3rd Friday after. My current employer takes couple weeks. I understand supervisors may need few more days grace period after a PP to approve employees’ hours. Why do some employers though take as long as 2-3 weeks when it perhaps take the accountants only a few hours to make the financial calculations and write the paychecks?
